MICROWAVE BREAD PUDDING

What You’ll Need

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls cubed
  2. 2 tablespoon chocolate chips I used semi-sweet, but this is your flavor preference
  3. 1 egg
  4. 2 tablespoon sugar
  5. 1/3 cup milk
  6. 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  7. ¼ teaspoon vanilla
  8. Sprinkle of nutmeg

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Slice 2 King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half and butter each side.
  2. Cut each side into 4 cubes.
  3. In a small bowl add the egg, sugar, milk, cinnamon and vanilla and whisk together.
  4. Add the buttered cubes and chocolate chips to a large microwavable ramekin.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the top of the bread,
  6. Use a fork or your fingers to press the bread downinto the egg mixture to make sure it’s fully covered.
  7. Sprinkle the top of the dish with nutmeg.
  8. Put in microwave for 1 minute then check if the egg mixture has set. Use a fork to pull the bread away from the side to make sure there’s not a big pool of egg in the bottom. Also check the center.
  9. Microwave for another 30 seconds and check again.
  10. Continue to microwave at additional 15-second intervals until the egg mixture is set.
